BSMARTE relies upon businesses that are devoted to improving the quality of technical education in California and desire to invest in seeking the gains in students’ critical thinking that accompanies learning through well-designed programs.  Member companies perceive the need for: 1) a broader and more inclusive process to restore balance to the current policies; 2) to increase opportunities for differentiated instruction; 3) to preserve the option for school districts to adopt inquiry-based as well as traditional curricula; and 4) use state-of-the-art technologies to improve student achievement.
